I tried to send hexString ringtone data like //SCKL1581 04XXXXXXXXXX using Outlook Express with 9054030867@pcs.rogers.com.
And I changed some email option like plain text, no wrapping.

However, my Nokia phone regarded this as text message rather than ringtone format.
    My question is
    (1) Essentially, is it possible to send ringtone data through email client?
    (2) If so, how?
    (3) How about free SMS-gateway service?

    Sorry for many questions.

    Thanks a lot.

    Hello!

    1)
    I don't see why not.
    2)
You have to ask your operator if they have allowed this. There might be some sort of limitations / content adaptation between the e-mail connection and MMSC.
    3)
Sure, they usually will offer this service, but you need to contact the provider for more detailed information.
