Recording an audio stream using the Series 60 emulator

Hello! Can anyone help?

I don't know if I am missing somthing or do not understand how to use the emulator for recording an audio stream. I am using the nokia sample audio streaming application to record audio and play it back. I can play back any audio from a file but cannot record audio. That goes for any application that records audio input. If I modify the audio stream example so that I create an audio file and call it recordtest.pcm. Launch the emulator form an IDE using the audio stream application. On the emulator select the AudioStream application, from the options menu select record, then after a few seconds select Stop, the select Save to save the audio stream to the file recordtest.pcm, then Load the file, then select Play nothing can be heard even though the file is created and has a size of say 36KB.

I have used another windows sound recorder application to record data to a file so I know my sound card, mic and all other setting are O.K.

Is the something I am doing wrong? Or does the emulator not allow you to record audio data.

Some please reply quickly becuase I am tearing my hair.

I asked this question before, I got no reply . I'm pretty sure It's not working you can just record with out hearing any thing.

Well... the emulator does record but cannot play the sound. You really need to test it in your phone.

It has happened a little while ago if you check the date. And emulator can play sound (at least what I have tried: tones, .wav-s, and streaming PCM) indeed.

With Emulator, you can record audio and play it just like your phone device.
