Nokia Music Player API (does it exist?)

I'd like to query the Nokia Music Player and discover what song is currently being played. Does Nokia expose an API to their Music Player? If so, where is the documentation located (I've been looking, but to no avail)?

If the API isn't public, who would I contact to begin the process of obtaining the private API?

Any help appreciated!
