I'm sorry for flooding this forum, I just hope that one day somebody will read my questions and answer them.

Anyway, I bumped into another peculiarity. When I enter text into a Text component in 'dictionary mode' (or T9, whatever it's called), and I wait a while when I have entered only part of a word, the complete word that is underlined gets wiped away. I get the feeling that it has something to do with either the print statements that produce output during that time, or with the redrawing of the component.

    Any ideas?

This is quite a serious issue in my eyes and I wonder if others have encountered it as well.

Related to this issue is switching input modes (normal, capitals, dictionary etc.). Using a Text component in fullscreen mode hides the icon displaying what input mode is used. It would be nice to be able to switch the input mode programmatically so developers could for instance decide to put the option in the menu.

By the way, I suspect that switching input modes is in itself quite buggy, but that's still a suspicion.
