HELP: New SDK (s60 3rd) has corrupt ZIP

Hi,

I tried to download the s60 3rd edition twice (once through browser, once through download manager) and both times unzipping it reported data2.cab crc corrupt. Dince this is the most important file I can't install it.

anyone else has this problem?

Yes. I've tried using winzip and winRAR. Both report that data2.cab is corrupt, because the CRC check fails.

Me too.

Winzip reports:
Extracting data2.cab
bad CRC 85fed265 (should be fc0037db)

This is consistent across multiple downloads of the zip file, using both the browser and the Nokia download manager.

(However, the very first version that I downloaded had a different error:
Extracting data2.cab
Error: invalid compressed data to inflate
I also note that the first version of the zip file contains a release note dated the 16th, whereas subsequent versions have a release note dated the 18th.)

In all cases, it is data2.cab that is corrupt and I am unable to install.

Extracted using iZArc (http://www.izarc.org/) instead of WinZip.

This allowed me to try installing. There was a CRC error for a single file during the install (didn't note the filename - sorry!) but I chose to ignore this and the installation appeared to complete OK.

I can build the HelloWorldBasic example for WINSCW UDEB and run it up in the emulator.

This might be a workaround until Nokia post a new version of the zip file.

Was the filename you failed to note C:\Symbian\9.1\S60_3rd\Epoc32\tools\ecmt\language\0548-th_th.zip ?

This might be some language pack?

That looks correct - I would normally have made a note but I wasn't expecting the install to get any further!

I had problems with data2.cab corruption yesterday as well . I redownloaded today and unzipping went fine.
Seems like Nokia fixed the problem...

We uploaded a new version of the SDK on Jan 19th around 9 am GMT (previous one had corrupted package for some reason) and it works ok - we are still monitoring the situation - as the package size is large, corruption may happen also during downloads - use of download managers should help

I downloaded S60 3rd SDK zip file and unzipped it successfully. Howeven the setup process crashed when I tried to install it. I found the setup program copied only one file named 'releasenotes.txt' to the '\Symbian\9.1\S60_3rd\Epoc32\Data' directory.

I tried downloading it twice.
The ZIP is corrupted.
This was the downloaded filename:

i downloaded the sdk of fp3 unzipped it using the izarc

but i'm getting this error in installation

CRC Error

CRC error: The file C:\Symbian\9.1\S60_3rd\Epoc32\release\winscw\udeb\caestillconverter.dll doesn't match the file in the setup's.cab.The medium from which ur running the setup may be corrupted;contact ur software vendour.

can anyone tell me wht is the reason for it.

OR the sdk avaliable for free download is corrupted or wht.

Plz check it i need to work on this platform and it's exciting one.

Try downloading it again (in case the download is corrupt). If you didn't use the download manager, try with it (if you did, try without). I downloaded it OK a couple of weeks ago.
