I've developed a midlet which need to use httpconnection and MMAPI's getSnapshot(), and i need to take snapshot every 3-5 seconds, so i'd like the notification for users just appear at the first time when i use this api, just like "Ask Once", i've known that i should buy a Sun Java Digital ID from verisign or other company, but i've also learned that some one had bought the id, but had not got the functionality they wanted, so i want to know if verisign can satisfy my need? thank you !

    Hi vampire_a,

AFAIK it would be better to use a UTI certificate (Java Verified Program) - http://www.javaverified.com/index.jsp

Thank you, juarezjunior! I've heard of that before, but I don't know how long it will take of the whole process?

Vampire_a, You should be able to change this setting for your midlet manually after installation - "ask once" for multimedia recording should be available for untrusted (unsigned) 3rd party applications.

S60: go to application manager and change the suite settings from there
S40: you can change the settings directly from the application meny through the options menu.

Thank you, wang_shui and hartti, you're both right, but i'm gonna to test my midlet or letting my user to change the setting manully, what i wanna do is sign the midlet and publish it to the public. It should be signed then can be used more easily (not need change setting manully), right?
