Data encryption/decryption in J2ME

Hi,

I am makin an application which requires encrytion of certain data and then sending this encryted data on to the server and to decrypt it back on the server and vice versa.

Pleaes tell me how can we encrypt /decrpt data on to the handset .
Also which encryption algo is suggested to do it......
