    Hi all,

i have installed code warrior for symbian OS v3.1

i have successfully ported an examle frm s60_2nd edition to 3rd edition...

the IDE suddenly started giving error msg while trying to import any application.
    it says:

file "cw_log.txt" has inconsistent line endings.
inconsistent line endings will b repaired bythe IDE.
for the browser and the error window to work
correctly,u should recompile this file after saving it
    .

m not able to proceed further coz of this problem :-(

    Hi Priya,

This problem most likely happend because CW was not shutdown properly (power failure etc). Your best bet is to do a clean install of CW and hopefully that should take care of the problem.

While at it, can you build your project from the commandline? If so, that's more evidence that CW is shagged.

    Hi all,

i finally was able to import the mmp file.....

Here m posting the procedure which i followed to get rid of the problem....

1.) open command prompt to your project's group directory where the .mmp
    and bld.inf files are.
    2.) give "bldmake bldfiles" command
3.) give "abld makefile cw_ide" command to create <Project_name>.xml
    file
4.) open CW ide and select FILE -> IMPORT PROJECT from the main menu
5.) browse the <Project_name>.xml from the
    <Epocroot>\epoc32\Build\Symbian\<version
    number>\<SDK_name>\<project_dir>\group\<project_name>\winscw directory
6.) select the <Project_name>.xml and click open
7.) next name the <project_name>.mcp file and click save
8.) now CW ide generates the project for you.

Thanx to all those who tried to go thru the problem...

    regards,
    Priya
