I am part of a team porting a JAVA application from J2SE PC platform to a mobile J2ME platform, this application uses SIP to initiate VOIP and Video calls.
My questions are
1. Does the Nokia S60 3rd Edition J2ME implementation support RTP for both capture/transmission and receiving/playback of streams at the same time or will it in the near future.
2. If it doesn't, can the same be accomplised using the native symbian API.
I have been trying sample code for 1. and
a) Cannot find any documentation. that suggests sending RTP streams is supported.
b) receiving RTP does not seem to work using the emulators, and documentation suggests that this poorly supported on actual hardware.
I am hesitant in getting an actual phone until I know that some of what I wish can be achieved.
Thanks in advance for any replies.
