How to test my Apps? Really Confused with the Emulator................

Hi..

I am really confused about the Emulator of Series 60 SDK....I am trying some Bluetooth Apps(Like searching for other BT device, and recieving some service from another device). But is there any way I can do it without HArdware like Nokia DTL-4 or 7650? IF I must have a HArdware to test my BT app, then what is the purpose of the Emulator?
