we support the http://wap.aventis.com site. Recently, our client tested this site with a Nokia 7110 with a "page cannot be displayed" reaction. Very embarrassing.
However: With all other mobiles (7110 too) and also with Winwap, the site is displayed in the right way.
My question is: Could it be, that we have programmed something wrong or are there any specifics for the 7110 we did not took care of?
Maybe, you could test our site at http://wap.aventis.com with your mobile and give me some feedback: Can you access it?
I hope you would first understand what work and what does not work on an actuall 7110 phone by reading all the FAQs... If you are working on a Nokia WAP Gateway + 7110 phone environment, pls read http://wap.com.ph/nokiafaq for some OTHER undocumented FAQs.
First off, your page is 2203 bytes long and is 1691 unicode bytes long. THATS 300 bytes longer than is allowed on a 7110 PHONE.
Jaime is right, your initial deck is far too big for the 7110. Design your Wap sites with a deep structure rather than a flat one.
As a general rule, you should use the 7110 as a reference
model for testing. Any Wap site you develop must work on
a 7110 because the vast majority of Wap phones on the
planet are Nokia 7110's.
