The phone keyboard with t9 it's slow because it uses an ABC DEF ... keyboard instead of QWE RTY ... like the Blackberrys do.

I'm thinking about using the actual keyboard like this one:

    Q W E...R T Y U...I O P
    ...A S D...F G H...J K L
    ....Z X... C V B... N M
    ........Space bar

It will be easy if I can apply for the T9 dictionary. Is it any way to use the t9 dictionary with Python?

You can not do it with Python

But you can make a new "fep" qwerty or azerty (for French) in C++ !

Look at these simple examples from Nokia !

Look also at http://www.littlespringsdesign.com/design/textinput/ for various text input mechanisms for mobile devices !

I'm an old dog to learn Dvorak...

I posted about qwerty because I noticed that typing with T9 on the phone I moved the thumbs looking for the qwerty scheme: I looked for the letter "a" on the left of the Nokia keyboard (it's on top), or the letter "L" on the right (it's in the middle).

But I think that this will be confusing If I haven't got a QWER.. printed on the keys instead the ABC..

Do you know Microsoft's "wild thing"?:

I don't mean the keys layout, instead of the way software predicts words from only some letters.

Making a T9 Dvorak keyboard doesn't make sense...
The keys that you want to use most oftern are designed to all be in the middle, and hence you will end up with lots of different words that you can make with just a few presses of the middle row of keys.
QWERTY/Z makes much more sense, because of the spread of vowels and commonly used letters. (At least in English anyway...)
