startup picture

Hi!

Am new into this forum and also in Cellphone programming, all i wanted to know is if i can set a startup logo to be my of picture or a name? and if yes can i set it be permant even if someone tries to flash the cellphone?

Lastly, which Tools and/ or codes should i use to make this issue succed?

If you mean the picture shown whan the phone boots up, then the answer is no (at least on Nokia devices).
If you mean something else, then please clarify.

Thanks, that is what i meant. But what about after the startup logo/ picture?The flow can be like
Load Startup logo/ picture
|
|
V
Load My picture/ name
|
|
V
Load other applications

Now, can it be done?

My estimate is that it is not possible with most of the phones. On S60 phones you can make your Symbian application to start during the device boot-up, but I am not sure whether or not you would be able to achieve that kind of start-up sequence with Symbian C++ either.

Thanks once again, may be let me tell you the whole idea. in the area where am from there is this problem "cellphone stealing", so i tried to think may be i could design a software that can add picture/ name and set it to cellphone start-up applications, or somewhere where the name/picture will appear as a pop up page. it can be after a certain event like before reading the sim card then a pop up page with a picture will show up,or after hang the call then the pop up page shows up or something like that.and i want it to reside there permanently so as those thieves cant flash it with their flash software. Do you think this can be done?
