Hi!
I need to learn the idea of building process and downloading application in device.I dont know waht is *.IBY file, and mmp , mcp and all these thing.

can u please suggest any material that i should study.

I know i am not clear abt my prob. Actually i need to start programming on the device.

First you need to decide the platform, and then you can move forward, if you want to program in Symbian then refer this document.

It will provide the overview of symbian, various devices and platforms availble.
