    Hi,

Due to various issues, I needed to uninstall the 3rd MR SDK. Now, I want to reinstall it, but when I do it creates S60_3rd_MR_1 (and S60_3rd_MR_2, S60_3rd_MR_3, etc!) instead of S60_3rd_MR, and I can't seem to find where it is getting indications of a previous install. This is frustrating because the rest of the team (and various scripts) expect the S60_3rd_MR device. I tried aliasing S60_3rd_MR_1 to S60_3rd_MR in devices, but VS .NET didn't figure that out correctly, so I need to get it right.

Prior to each install I did the following:
    - uninstalled the S60_3rd_MR SDK
    - made sure 'devices' returned only the SDKs I have installed

but with each install, it just kept increasing the device number: S60_3rd_MR_2, S60_3rd_MR_3...

    Anyone seen this? Arrg!

You're right S60 3rd MR keeps track of the number of instances. You can edit it from Registry. Run regedit.exe from Start | Run and then remove the following key.

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Nokia\com.nokia.s60

As you can see, the number of instances is stored there...
