I am in the final stages before submitting the application for Symbian Signing.

I have been using Developer Certificate till date and when I run the AppTestLite tool, it fails for PKG-01

FAILED PKG-01 SIS has been signed with ACS Publisher ID.
FAIL VeriSign certificate was found from certificate chain.

I have also checked the the dcument at verisign at the following link:
    http://www.verisign.com/support/code...ing/index.html

Here it says to create the .cer and .key (certificate and key)

However when using the certificates and key generated, i get the following error:
    encryption error, Cannot read EternoAmit.Cer

    signsis IndiSMS_3rd.SIS IndiSMS_3rd.SISX EternoAmit.Cer EternoAmit.Key

The same works successfully if i use the developer certificate instead.

Also, Now I have to send my sis to Symbian Signed, hence is it some different procedure for signing before sending it to SymbSigned?

How do I go ahead and solve this problem?
    Any help is appreciated.

I was able to solve the problem
It was the certificate which was not generated properly.

We need to generate the certificate without key and then use that with key !

That is self signing, but what I meant was LEGAL Symbian Signing.

The guy was suggesting signing an app with devcerts, for general release. The very thing for which Symbian Signed was down for a while and is now over restrictive.

Self-signing involves using your own certificate to sign the file and that is legal, as long as you sign your own files.

How have you built that sis file? Have you considered searching for "certificate error please contact supplier" in the Wiki (you may include the quotation marks too)?
