6230 JAR max filesize

Hi. I was wondering what is the excact (byte) file limit for 6230 phones.

The "device details" says that it is 125k. I was able to upload 128k applications and it rans. But it gives "Null pointer exception" in a certain areas. The emulator, however, works very good.

Is this related to overgrowed jar? What is happening when bigger jar is excecuted?

Hi

Bigger jar files makes no sense in Exception at runtime. If you have loaded any unknown format of image file or for some other reasons, that problem might have occured. Kindly provide the details where you are getting the Excpetion.

This is also what troubles me. And i cannot debug it since on emulator all goes well.

But I have managed to find out a bit. The problem is with music. midi files. if I turn it off, the game goes well. otherwise a Null pointer.

Try to use a seperate thread to load and play the MIDI file, if problem comes again we can check with other ideas
