Setting Path txt File

Hi All,

I have a small request anybody know how setting path txt file during install?
see this example when I import display a licence agreement during installation it's appear for me this path on my PC
For Example1:

File will be displayed during install: C:\DOCUME~1\USER\LOCALS~1\Temp\MKS0\PRO2.TXT

How do I can make small path like this example2?

File will be displayed during install: C:\WINDOWS\MKS0\Pro.txt

Hi,

Yes. You can use small path.
For e.g: You can have following entry in your .pkg file
"C:\WINDOWS\MKS0\Pro.txt"-"",FT,TA

Content of the file will be displayed on installation time.

Search for "FT" , "TA" in the following link:
http://www.symbian.com/developer/tec...ang_indep.html

PS: Provided that Pro.txt file resides on C:\WINDOWS\MKS0\

By using UmakeSIS Tool By Gip when Open EPOC SIS Files will be appears the SIS file Contents this path:
File will be displayed during install: C:\WINDOWS\MKS0\Pro.txt
File will be displayed during install: C:\DOCUME~1\USER\LOCALS~1\Temp\MKS0\PRO2.TXT

But be sure, WINDOWS * MKS0 * Pro.txt don't install! just it's the path displayed txt file.

I didn't know how is that?

when I use display a licence agreement during installation it's will chose this path on my computer C:\Documents and Settings\User\Local Settings\Temp\..!
you are know this files this is Essential folders of PC can't deleting her or changing it even to make like this path (C:\WINDOWS\)

I hope to give me the good method for that.

People will not see the path of the text file during install, they will see the text file instead.
If you are annoyed with the path being packaged into the .sis file (which is normally not seen, but unsis reveals it), you can set the Temp environment variable to an other location. Like c:\temp (make sure that the folder exists of course).

I think this is will clarify my question completely.
Here is examples with pics I hope to Understands me!

in The beginning when Add "Show txt File" manual and chose the location of the txt file will appear for example this pic:

You might want to read my previous post.
So the "C:\DOCUME~1\USER\LOCALS~1\Temp" part is what your Temp variable contains.

And what path are you feeding to save the project?

Yes C:\Temp is exist on my PC, and I save it in folder of my project.

Zero, you have confused to what Wizard_hu suggested...and you have mixed up the whole suggestion thing. I suggest for your own satisfaction, make a directory in the C:\ called 'Temp'. and do 'your stuff'. I firmly believe you have tried to set your environment variable (path) and then got entangled as it might have not done what you felt it did.

Just to simplify your own logic, create that temp directory in the c:\ and see if it works for you.
