Yesterday I registered on symbiansigned.com.

The whole site is 128 bit SSL encrypted.
I had to choose a password with at least 8 characters for security reasons. For every step you take you need a certificate. They put developers in chains for security reasons.

A few minutes after the high secure registration I received an email containing my username and password as plaintext...

Great security praxis. Really.

Perhaps you should tell that to Symbian and Symbian Signed, if you haven't already?
