I need to develop a sim based application, please let me know the different technologies used to develop it, i came to know that java can be used but can we use other technologies like c, c++, symbian c++ etc to develop a sim apllication.

It depends on the SIM card and the SIM Application Toolkit tools supported by/for that particular type of SIM.

You need to talk to the different SIM card manufacturers or at least those network operators whose cards you wish to put your app on.

Without the operator support and the right tools from the card manufacturer (either directly, or through the operator), you cannot put your app on the SIM.
