Valid ringtones on the 6265i

Hi there

Just wondering how I can make mp3's of songs I have made into ringtones

I use Soundforge to cut and encode mp3s into compatible file sizes, and although I can preview them, I cannot set them as a ringtone. When I try to change the ringing tone to one of the files I've uploaded it says "Cannot be set as ringing tone"

I can't find any guidelines in the manual for setting file bitrates, sizes or lengths, and I'm hoping someone here can set me straight.

I will try using the Nokia Audio Suite, but I don't see why the files I have shouldn't work.

i'm having the same problem with my 6265i. i download some midi files into the tones folder on my phone and it can play them ... but i am unable to select it as my ringtone. " Cannot be set as ringing tone". anyone know what is wrong?

What is a bitrate of your MP3 file to be set as ringing tone?
I thought that the maximum is 128 kbps for this handset.

Im having the same problem I can convert it so the phone plays it but I cant set it as a ringtone I guess they still have to come out with a program specifically for the 6265i since its fairly new if anyone finds a way to set it as a ringtone please post it thx
