Sip setRequestURI method

The setRequestURI method of JSR-180 SIP is not implemented in S-60 3rd Edition phones . If i try using it with a valid SIP uri like "ad-hoc@mot.com" I get an Exception saying "INVALID HOST". Please let me know if this has been upgraded or when are you planning to upgrade it. In how many days can I expect a reply for this.
ex:
scc.setRequestURI("ad-hoc@mot.com");
throws an exception saying "INVALID HOST";

The setRequestURI() method is not supported on S60 3rd Edition devices, as you have pointed out in one of your previous messages.
I do not expect that situation to change on the 3rd Edition platform.

Does any other device currently support the setRequestURI() method?
Is Nokia planning or will it be updating it? Is some work going on in this field?
Can i implement setRequestURI() method in some other way?
