Installing a SIS file on the S60 3rd edition emulator

Hi,
I created a SIS file for WINSCW (and not for ARM :-) and I would like to test the installation process on the S60 3rd edition emulator.

However, I can find how I can do something which enables me to do that.
I found:
1. Can open a file from the emulator CTRL-O - but nothing happens.
2. Some links suggested putting it under S60_3rd\Epoc32\winscw\c\nokia\installs. I did.. but still cant see how what I should do next.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

I would rather place the file to a place that can be actually reached in the file manager of the emulator. Like the branch starting in winscw\c\Data.

Navigate through Installation->App Manager in the emulator and if you have pasted the sis file in c:\data\installs folder you would find it over there. Select the Install menu and if you are lucky enough the installation completes successfully!

erm.. I tried copying to C:\data\installs and navigating to Installations-> App Manager but still cant see the SIS file anywhere.
All I see in the App manager is "App. downlds."

Is this S60 3rd edition emulator you meant?

Yes i meant the 3rd edition. But when i try to install i get File Corrupted.

The emulator does not have any root certificates installed so you cannot use it for testing the installer.

Look up for Technical Library updates, a solution for this problem will be published soon.
