AMR support for APS 2.0

This example attached shows how to get AMR supported for VoIP applications with APS 2.0 for S60 3ed devices.

APS 2.0 and the loop back client example for S60 3rd Ed are available from

This workaround extends the speech codec support from G.711, G729, iLBC (supported by APS 2.0) to also support AMR in the S60 3rd devices.

If you want to mute the output to the uplink, the way to do that would be by setting mic gain to 0.

The priority and preference codes for audio clients of the DevSound cannot be changed. These priority and preference settings allow the Audio Policy making decisions regarding play requests received from the clients. If the Policy doesn't recognize the code the request will be rejected.

The allowed preference codes for VoIP clients are 0x05220001 for the uplink and 0x05210001 for the downlink.
