When a create the basic HelloCarbide application in Carbide.C++ it appears to work fine in the emulator, however, when I generate the SIS file and try to install this on the phone, the phone says...

"Certificate may not yet be valid, is expired or phone date is not correct"

Any ideas?

Hi there may be two thing

1. check ur phone date which phone u want to install if it right then.
2. u create self sign certificate see the SDK for self signing.

i think ur problem will resolve..

Phone date is fine (today's date).

I created what I thought was a certificate, but then the application wouldn't compile!

Phone's date and time needs to be in synk with the PC. A few secconds diference and the phone will think that the certificate is not yet valid.

To make sure set the phone a cuple of minutes in advance thus the creation time for the certificate will always be in the past. Or simply wait a bit fefore instaling the newly signed SIS.
