    Hi,

    I have make a fresh install of my Visual Studio .NET, I have entierely removed all previously (sdk, carbide, suppress the 'common\symbian' dir, ...) and re-install all on the C: drive but I can't use carbide and whenever I check in the visual studio the install of the SDK thru the 'Enable/Disable SDKs' panel, the SDK root is set to "D:\Symbian\9.1\S60_3rd", I have already tried the process several time, always the same !!!! how can I fix that ??

    PS: all is installed on C:
    the visual studio,
    c:\symbian\9.1
    c:\symbian\Carbide_vs
    c:\symbian\CSL Arm Toolchain
    c:\symbian\Perl

    Please, help me, it's very urgent, I'm blocked in my dev ....
    Thanks a zillion in advance,
    Domi.

    Check the Path I think it is there.
    Look in your system settings.
    Control Panel - System - Advance Tab - Environmental Variables.

    This is just an educated guess, I may be wrong.

    Hi Ron,

    thanks for this but it was the first thing I had done ....

    In fact, on my laptop, all works fine and I had compared these 2 settings (paths) between the computers ...

    After 4 days of trials (!!!), it seems that carbide doesn't detect the installed sdk ...

    When I clic on the "SDK Configuration Manager" inside VS, I see S60 3.0 which is enable (WINSCW is checked but GCCE is not checked !), when I clic on the [ok] button, I get the following :

    An unhandled exception has occured.... with these details :

    ************** JIT Debugging **************
    To enable just in time (JIT) debugging, the config file for this
    application or machine (machine.config) must have the
    jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
    The application must also be compiled with debugging
    enabled.

    For example:

    <configuration>
    <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
    </configuration>

    When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
    will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the machine
    rather than being handled by this dialog.

    I've never run into something like this but for SDK paths I would also look at C:\Nokia\Registry\installationRegistry.xml

    Hi,

    thanks for this, but after analysis, this seems only for the emulator, not for carbide.

    Very best regards,
    Domi.
