Making a data connection within a voice call

Hey Guys
I'm using Nokia 6680 in 3G, I want to make a data connection for a small duration while I'm in a voice call.
My requirement for data connection is just to send small packet (like ping google).

Is it feasible ?
Please guide me to establish a connection and ping the network or some other way to check the packet call connection.

It can be done, you can use an RConnection+RSocket for that.
However the result depends on the GPRS class of the given device: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GPRS#Th...bility_classes
