How to write a controller pluggin using symbian mmf to play h264 video

hi,
I would like to know how to write the pluggin part so that i could play h264 video format files on a media player.
I have referred the "How to write controller pluggin using mmf",from the symbian website.But not much is given about video and can anyone guide me as to where to include the h264 video format?

Hi,

Unless you're working for a device manufacturer or one of their partners then you can add very little value with a 3rd party MMF plug-in - such a thing requires a very broad set of capabilities (including DRM I believe) to be usable by the built-in media player applications.

For working examples of controller plug-ins, there is the Symbian Ogg player open source project and (if you have access), the latest versions of Symbian OS supply an example AVI plug-in to show how video should be done.

It's also worth noting that the multimedia architecture on Symbian OS is having a complete overhaul at the moment, so depending on timescales you may want to look at the new architecture.
