advanced S60 3rd edition sdk

Hi,

I need access to the advanced Symbian OS telephony services (CTelephony API). In the developer library they say there is a advanced version of the Symbian SDK for phone manufacturers. Can normal ISV get this version and where can I get it?

Yes you can get the Advances SDK [Binary Kit / Dev Kit]. For that you have to become a Symbian partner. For more info http://www.symbian.com/partner/index.html

Mind you, getting signed up as a Symbian Platinum Partner is not enough.

It is just the first step and hurdle, which will cost your company something.

After that, you can license one of the various different Symbian OS devkits (separate fees). Read this document for descriptions:

Note also that even that might not be enough depending on what you really need or want to do (e.g., S60 might have done things differently than what's in Symbian OS, so it may or may not be enough to license a Symbian DevKit).

To get beyond that, you need to be an S60 partner with Nokia (a prerequisite is to be a Symbian Platinum partner and Symbian OS licensee):
