About DRM Agent(CAA)

Hi, all
I want to implement a complete new DRM system, not like OMA DRM. As I know, I will use CAF in symbian, and writing a CAA will be enough for that work.

Besides, I want to know, Is the open SDK for symbian enough for developing a CAA?

when developing a CAA, what should I pay attention to?

I hope you have thoroughly gone through the SDK docs for CAF.

So you are intending to implement your own content security and rights management scheme.

you must pay attention to
1. basic CAF agent skeleton , implement all the interfaces.

2. you need to define your own encryption and decryption algorithms .

3. you need to decide some MIME type and extension for content/files that will be handled by your CAA.

I know that symbian provided a simple CAA in the source code, but I can not get that.

waht is your opinion.
btw, I know how to write a DRM, but I do not know how to integrate it into symbian CAF. what api that I have to implement?

hi xhsoldier,

SDK has all the APIs to support CAF ,

all you need to do is to write an agent ,

you must start with some prototype sort of implementation for your agent .

I hope you know to implement Agent side factory using CAgentFactory , inside an ECOM dll.
