.sis signing problem

I downloaded Carbide.c++ 1.2 beta, creates s60 3rd edition project and built pkg. It automatically generated self-signed cert and used it to sign .sisx, but my phone doesn't accept it, always saying that there's problem with certificate. I also tried to generate cert manually and sign but always get the same result. What's the problem can be here?

It depends on the capabilities you are using in your application.
If capabilities fall under Developer Certificate granted then you need to acquire developer certificate. Sign it with developer certificate. Install it on your device.

Describe more about nature of your application. What does it do? What types of capabilities are you using? etc...
Also list the complete error note that you are seeing on installing your application.

Prior to getting heavy armament you might want to check 2 things:
- devices do not accept time-traveller installation packages, thus make sure that date and time on your phone matches the settings on your PC
- some devices do not accept self-signed packages by default: check the settings of the Application Manager (it is usually in the Tools menu), there should be something like "Software installation". Make sure that it is not "Signed only" (the other - "good" - choice can be All, #On or something similar)

no, it doesn't use any special capabilities. actually currently it doesn't do much at all because I started "porting" my app from 2nd ed. to 3rd ed. and want to try it for the first time on real device after testing in emulator

thank you, I found this setting and changed to "All"

but now another problem -
now instead of "problem with cert" it says (after notifying that application untrusted and may harm phone and showing it info) "can't install secure app from unsafe source" (something like this, language on the phone is set to Russian currently so I'm translating back to English)
