The easiest way to remove previously downloaded operator logo and restore the original one is to send almost normal operator logo message to the phone. The differences to the normal operator logo message are values of the octets 9, 10 and 11, which determine values of the MCC and MNC. The octets must have different values than the current operator's values. For example the values of the octets 9 - 11 could be 000000. The content of the OTA bitmap has no relevance in the message, therefore the OTA bitmap data can be missing (header information is mandatory). When receiving this kind of operator logo message the logo must be saved and after that the original operator logo appears on the screen.

For example, the userdata of the message which removes old operator logo:

But sending 06050415820000300000000A00000001 does not work with every phone or every software version.

For example I have tested Nokia 3510i, some 7210 and 6600 and the operator logo cannot be saved.

    What to do ???

We are experiencing the same problem and NOBODY has a solution for that. This binary SMS works for old Nokia's but does not work on any phone that uses color screen... Instead we are planning to use a blank logo.

And, by the way, reseting operator logo is not necessary for Series 40 and Series 60 phones. Series 40 has option to remove operator logo and display operator name. On Series 60 phones, user can delete C:\System\Data\Phone\oplogo\xxx_xx_xx.mbm, where X's are the operator's MCC and MNC.

I wonder if there's a solution to this problem.. If Nokia experts don't know what to do, what can "we" do
