E90 - FAX

Just noticed from the Nokia website that the E90 does not have a fax function. All of the communicators have had this and was just wondering if this is for real or it's just a mistake on the website ???

Not a mistake; as far as I know, there's no fax support in the E90.

(The E90 is not based on S80/Series 80, but S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 1, so, while the form-factor might be similar to the 9500, 9300 or earlier Communicator, the software platform is somewhat different and you shouldn't assume that all things you might be used to on older devices exist in this one, too.)

What a shame. I was really looking forward to the E90. I have had every Communicator since 9210. It's ideal for me as I need a mobile fax....

I have used all previous communicators and also fax with them. It wa huge dissappoinment to notice that there is no possibilitys to use fax in E-90. The only fax sending possibility is to use sms-fax, which is quite poor, only text.

I wonder if it's possible to send sms-fax, why isn't at least possible to make a software to use this sms-possibility to send multimedia fax.

To receive fax can be more complitaded.
