FM Radio recording

Hi,

i want to record the radio content. i am able to record the current running song by player of the phone but when i try to record the radio my phones reboots.

can anyone help me? i am working it for a long but no result.

I don't know the architecture/design for sure (and I'm not a hardware person), but the FM radio audio might not be not routed through the OS (Symbian/S60) at all.

It could very well be going directly from the receiver through whatever DAC, etc., there is, and to the line-out/speaker(s). I.e., the FM radio application would be just the control UI to manage the receiver.

In that case, it might be a physical impossibility to to capture the radio audio in software running on the application processor.

but why my phone reboots. i think i can read the raw data but my phone reboos. Devices have the security issues.

Could be a firmware issue/bug. Could be you trying to something the OS doesn't allow. Hard to say. Maybe you should say which device (model), which firmware version and post the code that generates the reboot? Also, it might be a good idea to cross-check on different devices.

i have tested it on 2nd sdk and 3rd sdk devices and did not get any result.
