Nokia E61i speaker volume problem

Maximum volume of e61i's speaker (NOT loudspeaker) is very low. It's much lower then volume of e60's speaker or e61's speaker. It's almost impossible to speak in noisy conditions. Sometimes it's critical. I believe this is not a hardware problem, but firmware. What was the reason to introduce this "feature" ? Is there a chance to have it fixed in upcoming firmwares ?

Was it like that when you bought it?Because mine was fine when i bought it but started having the volume problem when I updated my firmware

my e61i device had the latest firmware at the moment i bought it. i did not know that this problem was introduced with firmware update.. it's a pity.. i do wonder why did they do this.

I too have a problem with the volume, and, if the Nokia forum has nothing to do with it, then who ? I have the latest firmware update. I made in january 2010.

Please help.
