Problems starting theme studio.

I downloaded both theme studio ver2. and ver1. and they seem to crash in the same manner. both programs actually start but then seem to be corrupt and none of the buttons is visible until I actually scroll the mouse cursor over them which helps only for a few seconds because then they hide again. ofcourse there is no talk of any work here.

do i lack something on my pc?

i am new here and does not know much about modding cells.
just tell me if i lack some sort of java etc.
