6230 Support for unique passcodes

Hello everybody,
Hope this mail finds ye well. I am working at the moment on the testing of a Bluetooth device project, on which a passcode in hardcoded into its software. When i try to pair this with a Nokia 6230 it does not pair correctly. I have being researching this and have found that nokia does not support unique keys for pairing in the 6230, but for only combination keys that are entered on both devices,

Is this assumption true, and if so what other mobiles are restricted in this way,

Not so sure about that. However, the 6230 (as most or all Nokia devices) have problems with devices with a fixed Bluetooth passcode that is not all digits (0-9).

the hardcoded passcode is all digits as it works out. I have had no problems with other nokia's and they work with the device ok. It is just that i came across it on another forum about the 6230 and was wondering if there was any substance to this???
