    Hello everyone,

I have a symbian application that creates map-files in the private folder of the application so i dont need to sign the application for it to work.

I have the same functionallity in a J2me Application useing the Recordstore.

I am having hughe trouble with the recordstore though since its so diffrent from one device to the other.

SO what i am wondering is this:

is there a way to use the file connection api like it is in symbian with an private folder so i dont have to sign the application?

You can access the file system even without signing (but you will have to confirm the actions every time). But to remove those confirmations you need to sign the MIDlet (or use RMS)
