Nokia 6230i Blank Screen???

Hi...I was wondering if anyone could help me. My mum's nokia has a blank screen & you can't see who's calling or read & write sms'. We have sent the phone back to nokia 3 times under warranty. 1st & 2nd times they reckoned it needed upgrading but 3rd time they told us that it was a battery problem & that they wouldn't cover it under warranty. As far as I'm aware, if there's problems with the battery, the phone will switch itself off or just not turn on at all. This phone does work, the screen is just blank. Has anyone else had the same problem with their phone? Have they had it fixed? If so, how much did it cost roughly? Is it just worth getting a new phone? Any comments, feedback would be greatly appreciated.
