N85 included to the service. I did not test the device very throughly yet, so drop me a note if problems occur.
a couple of small updates:
* 6650 (T-mobile variant) added to RDA. This is a S60 3.2 device.
* LG KT610 firmware updated (finally!) - hopefully this will solve the connectivity issues.
And since I've already gotten a couple of questions about this: yes, we are working on to have S60 5th ed. support on RDA soon. (which means 5800 XpressMusic will likely be added in near future).
The service should be now again up and running and the N82 and E90 had their firmware updated.
E71 and N96 now also got their firmware updated.
6210 navigator restored to RDA.. still working on to get 5800 Xpress music included.
N79 was added to the service.
I've just added 1x5800 XpressMusic to the service as a test. If you run across into any strange RDA usage related issues, report to me.
2 more 5800 XpressMusics added to service.
This is an awesome service, thanks for keeping the system up and running!
Is there a list of languages available on the devices? We are hoping to be able to test the following languages on any of the phones:
Russian, Polish, Turkish, Ukrainian, Tagalog, Finnish, (Dutch, Swedish, Norwegian)
gunerak:
most of the devices should have euro1 variant firmware, which typically includes languages like english, german, italian, french, spanish. A few devices might have scandinavian language pack (english, finnish, swedish, norwegian, icelandic, danish).
On request I can probably (temporarily) flash some device/s with other language packs as well.
Hello,
I believe there are a lot of people who reserve the devices just for curiosity and others who reserve the devices, but doesn't uses them.
It is frustating to wait days to test the software on 5800 due to service misuse... Of course, is better than nothing!
I suggest to limit the RDA service to the developers only, or at least, to introduce some kind of penalties for the people who reserve devices and doesn't use them.
An idea would be restict the usage to the PublisherID owners, or give them an higher priority.
BR, Marco.
P.S.
I left mine application installed in the 5800 (IMEI 354182020021919) because the device crashed and I wasn't able to connect anymore to it during the session, sorry (Error to RPM ScreenAccess service)
Hi,
I am trying to connect to 5800 expressmusic for the first time. I am getting this error: "Error to RPM ScreenAccess service".
Please provide some resolution for this.
Thanks
I've cleaned up some reservations that have seemed clearly "bogus", but of course don't really want to do this on a wide scale as it might be upsetting someone. There's been quite a lot of demand for the devices during the past few days, but I'm quite sure when the dust settles a bit there will be free timeslots for those who need to test on this device. It's not also totally out of question that I would not temporarily include one or two more devices if the demand stays as high as so far. It's true that we should try to make the reservation system more efficient, for example allow user to "handout" the device when he's done testing instead of the current situation where a lot of usage time may be wasted waiting for the reservation to end (in fact it's already on the "todo" list).
This should be fixed by now (did a cleanup on all 5800s).I left my aplication installed in the 5800 (IMEI 354182020021919) because the device crashed and I wasn't able to connect anymore to it during the session, sorry (Error to RPM ScreenAccess service)
