Storing data on the securecard

Hi everybody.

I'm working at the moment on an application willing to store data on the phone smartcard.
I can communicate with an uploaded applet, but i wonder how i could save information on the secure card.

Is there a way to use persistency on my applet's attributes or something?
If anybody knows another solution, feel free to share it.
