    Hello,

    I was thinking that it would really be wonderful if Nokia could give us a "Linux SDK" as new year present !
    I am a linux addict, and I have to work with NFC, after trying several time to use the java emulator, it really doesn't seem to work on top of linux( which is kind of weird since it is made with java, which is supposed to be portable )

    Now I have to restart my computer everytime I want work on my MIDlet.
    I am sure I am not the only one in this case ;-)

    So any suggestion, or any plans to see a linux SDK ?

    Thanks !

    Bernard.

    Ok , after getting a beer this afternoon with a friend, he suggested me a solution ( and BTW, this is the proof that getting some beer can resolve some issues !)

    So what he said me is that there exist a VirtualBox professional version with support for USB i/o. So the Omnikey and the emulators would interact without any issues... I will give it a try this Week-End.

    So even if it's not natively Linux, it would permit to work without the need to reboot the computer everytime...

    Stay tuned, I will post the result of this experiment!

    solution that worked fine:

    * use your preferred ide
    * use the class files of the sdk (midp, cldc, nfc api, ...) and create a simple ant build script
    * upload to phone and test
