Turning flash off when recording video

Hi,
I'm trying to turn off the flash whilst capturing video by using SetFlashL(CCamera::EFlashNone), I call it after calling StartVideoCapture().
But the flash is still active.... (this was tested on N73 and N95).
Any ideas?
