Nokia 6131 NFC and Secure Element of a MiFare SmartCard

Hi,

Do some of you know if the Nokia 6131 NFC has ability to read/write data from/to the Secure Element of an external MiFare SmartCard?
If yes, can a MIDlet interact directly with the Secure Element of this SmartCard? Or does this need to be managed from a Cardlet installed in the Secure Element of the 6131 NFC phone?

Are there any samples showing how to do it?

Sorry for digging this topic out of the forum ;-) ( more than two years ago ... ) , but actually I got exactly the same question for my app.
I need to read/Write to an external secure Mifare card. Is it possible directly from the MIDlet or do we have to use the secure element to connect to the secure part of an external Mifare card ?

You don't need the internal Secure Element to use secure Mifare tags. You just need to use Nokia's extensions to JSR-257 for accessing the security part of the tag.
The SDK documentation should have everything you need for that.
