Hello. I need to interact with a web service that returns JSON strings. Can someone point me in the direction of a JSON library for J2ME? Yes, I tried googling first and couldn't find anything suitable.

Found this which looks perfect: http://tavon.org/work/JSON-J2ME but doesn't actually have a working download
and then this https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=363954 which also seemed useful but unfortunately does not seem to actually work in J2ME.

Found it. Thanks Mikhail! If I could attach files to this post, I would put it up for posterity.

the above project also has a JSON parser.

"This project contains a JSON parser for Java ME. This is a port of the org.json Java library found at json.org to Java ME. It is hosted here with permission. "

Well, the library has disappeared from json.org home page. But the source code can be found at java.net. You will have to access the source code and compile it yourself in order to get a .jar

In this post I show the steps to get the source code using NetBeans 6.9:

    Hope it helps!
