Unable to connect to Internet if Nokia PC Suite 4.81 is installed

I have recently upgraded my 6210 mobile to a 6310i and am experiencing lots of problems. I have a Dell Inspiron Laptop running Windows 98se and connect to the Internet via my mobile using a DLR-3P cable. If I install the Modem Setup software it works fine but the moment I install the Nokia PC Suite 4.81 I am unable to connect to the Internet via either ISP or GPRS.

I regularly use the PC Suite software, but also need to connect to the Internet and have been informed by Orange Technical Support that this is a common problem with this Nokia Software and the only fix is to uninstall it.

Are there any known fixes to this problem? i.e. patches or a new release. I have downloaded the version from the website, but this is still the same.
