Unable to execute file for security reasons

my application accesses internet and reads a file from server, it works fine on the emulator .when i isntall it on the my handset(nokia 3250) its is installed wit5hout error and shows all the menues et5s correctly but wen i try open the eoption for connecting to the internet it gives an error message unable to execute file becuse of the security reasons, other parts of teh application work well accpet this part, what should i do plz help

check the capabilities needed by the APIs and functions you are using and add them into your project and rebuild all.

have a look into teh documentations mentioning "Platform security", they should help you to understand the requirements for capabilities and how to use them with your applications.

i hav added all the capabilities by TCB but still gettign the same problem does taht mean i caanot sign it myself and i need to get it signed by symbian ? or is there another way of dealing with it

you also need to have a valid certificate which includes all of the capabilities you have defined..

So if you use any other than the 5 basic capabilities, you need a developer certificate, and if you use more than the normal 13, then you also need to get manufacturer approval for your developer certificate request..

It would help a lot, if you would read few posts in the signing part of this forum, as well as would google a bit for information.
