Does 6288 support still image capture?

Being the S40 3rd edition, I am confused about its support to still image capture. The docs say that 6280 is the first phone to support still image capture. 6288 is announced an year later and should support it. Could anybody confirm it?

6288 features JSR 135, then it should support capture images.
Are you having some problem with it?

Are you using the capture://image locator? not the capture://video locator... (this is the way how snapshot works on Series 40 phones)
