Hi,
If I were to purchase a certificate from a trusted third party, will i be able to allow it to do midlet signing and communicate with the secure element?
Which company is preferred by Nokia?
Thanks and Best Regards

As long as you get a code signing certificate from a provider who has a root CA in the phone then you can run code to access the secure element. It won't make any difference to Nokia which you use, as long as they are already known to the phone.
Hi,
We are making a demo on the Nokia 6131 NFC. In simulation he midlet works , but in the phone we have a security exception (due to the communication with the SE). Where can we find a root certificate?

Menu --> Settings --> Security --> Authority Certificates --> Certificate List shows all the certificates the phone knows about.
hi,
Is there another way to test secure-element connection without code signing registration from Certificate list on the phone?
For testing&researching, I tryied to create certificate by "keytool" in jdk and sign my MIDlet with it, but i can't push my certificate to Nokia 6131 NFC. So, the MIDlet said "Certification not found". Is there anyway to create and push certificate to the Nokia 6131 NFC by myself
Thanks and Best regards,
Minh
There are various posts over the internet regarding adding additional root CAs to a series 40 phone. They all conclude that it is not possible.
anyway, thank you very much, phoenix!!
One more thing, Phoenix! Could you tell me which sites issues the right certificate code extractly for Nokia 6131 NFC (unlocked) that i could sign my MIDlet to run on? Because i read a lot on internet,in this forum and anothers, some of them said some of CA's site can't applied to Nokia 6131 NFC.
Thanks and Best regards,
Minh
