Order in UA

Hi,
i have been searching for this, but to no avail,

my Q. is is there any sort of order in the User Agents which the mobile sends out,

like my mobile sends out UA:

application/vnd.wap.wmlc, application/vnd.wap.wmlscriptc, application/vnd.wap.wbxml, image/gif, image/vnd.wap.wbmp, application/vnd.wap.sic, image/jpeg, text/vnd.sun.j2me.app-descriptor, application/java-archive, application/vnd.smaf, application/x-midi, audio/mid, audio/midi, audio/x-mid, audio/x-midi, text/x-imelody, text/x-imelody, audio/imelody, application/vnd.wap.mms-message, application/vnd.oma.drm.message, application/*, text/x-vcard, text/x-vcalendar, text/vnd.wap.sl, text/vnd.wap.si, text/vnd.wap.wml, text/html, text/plain, text/vnd.wap.co, text/x-wap-wta-wml, text/vnd.wap.wmlscript, text/vnd.wap.channel, text/vnd.wap.connectivity-xml

As you see "text/vnd.wap.wml", comes b4 "text/html"

But since both are there, and have q value of 1
what kind of content should i offer it WAP1.0 or imode/ chtml?

Is there a better way of handling this conflict?

PS: also when i send chtml to my phone i cant see any textbox <input /> on my screen?
google.com sends me wml, and there i can see its textbox ?

Hello,

I think that text/html doesn't mean in this point that it supporting full web browsing. I have myself tried to check out the device and after that read the UAProf file, which example Nokia devices tels that is it supporting WAP 1.0 or WAP 2.0.

i found this :
http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc3282

which says :

If no Q values are given, the language-ranges are given in priority order,
with the leftmost language-range being the most preferred language;
this is an extension to the HTTP/1.1 rules, but matches current
practice.

Does this apply to http://www.w3.org/Protocols/rfc2616/rfc2616-sec14.html

If someone from the Nokia team could answer this?
to the effect is this is taken in practice or not.

Thanx Tumpelo, you were right text/html with text/vnd.wap.wml should be given WAP2.0,
im still trying to find more inputs here, will post when i have something,

If someone can answer the Q above ???

In what context <input> tag fits in that chtml page you're having problems with?
Depending on the case, you might need to remove "/" from the tag
For example, use

Code:

<input value="text">

instead

Code:

<input value="text" />

Could you please post the source code of your page?

Hi,
i tried that, but still doesnt work, i see the submit Button, but not the textbox when recieving cHTML,

when recieving WML and XHTML MP i see a textbox.

im using it as a searchbox

what is the browser you're having this problem?I've tested the page in two mobile browsers (Opera Symbian and N90 S60 browser) and all works good.
